Meet Mairi
I’m Mairi (say it “Mar” — like you're by the sea in Spain — and then “rie” like the end of Marie. It’s Scottish, by way of explanation). I'm a trained copywriter, editor and content creator with over a decade of experience writing for top-tier brands across the luxury, financial, legal, and professional services sectors.
While my content creation career began outside property, my work has always focussed on storytelling. I create content to capture attention, build credibility and create stories people remember. That’s what led me to luxury real estate. I’ve written for Enness Global, Tenn Capital, and Black Brick. I run the TikTok account Homes with History, where I create short-form property stories that regularly reach thousands of viewers.
My approach combines research, emotional intelligence, and strategic messaging. Whether it’s uncovering the history of a landmark estate, translating an architectural brief into lifestyle-rich copy, or crafting a brochure that inspires a viewing before the agent has even called, I create content designed to connect with discerning buyers and clients.
My work has appeared in Tatler, Forbes, CEO Magazine, and private aviation publications, and I’ve worked with brands and professionals who understand that words and storytelling are as much part of the luxury experience as the property itself.
When I’m not writing, you’ll find me in the mountains, exploring historic buildings, or chasing my daughter through farmers’ markets (her choice, mostly).
